This is probably the most specialized fly rod series offered by Echo. Pete Erickson is an award winning fly fisher who specializes in Polish/Czech short line nymphing. We call it high stick nymphing around these parts, and it is indeed a very specialized form of fly fishing. The three rods offered in this series are long (10" to 11") and are very light (3- and 4-weight rods).
Everything about Echo Shadow PE fly rods is based on task-specific engineering from the matte black finish, nifty handle, a combination of lightness and strength needed to run weighted nymphs on a predictable track, and the ability to play heavy fish on the lightest tippets.

I hope Echo and Erickson come out with a new model that has a counter-balanced reel seat... |
